How Many Campaigns Should I Canvass An Area?

I have picked up numerous tips for various types of canvassing over the years.

To clarify, Canvassing is ANYTIME that you are passing out books searching for customers. There are several different types of canvassing.

Hanging  is when you hang your Avon book on the door of potential customers.

Porching is when you leave your Avon book on the front stoop, step or porch of a potential customer.

Knocking is a very effective means of getting your books into the hands of people that want them. You knock on the door and engage the potential customer. Hopefully you can get their phone number or email addy for follow up with them before you place your order.

Tossing  is when you wrap your book in the What's New bags, and litterally toss them into driveways or next to mailboxes for the potential customer to retrieve.

Before you choose a specific method of canvassing make sure that you check your local laws!  The last thing that you want is to hang or toss 200+ books and find out that it was illegal and you must retrieve them or pay a fine.
